ABOUT DESCOVINTAGE
Descolado became descovintage.
I was about to launch my own brand. Everything was ready. Right before launch, I realized my heart was never in producing new clothes.
It was in finding rare pieces with soul. We don’t sell old clothes. We find pieces with character.
THE FULL STORY
Descolado became descovintage.
Before Descovintage, there was Descolado. Different name. Different plan. Same obsession with clothes.
I wanted to build my own streetwear brand. Not just slap a logo on a blank and call it a day. I wanted something that felt like me. The kind of piece you reach for without thinking, because it just works with everything else you wear.
So I started turning the idea into something real. A name became a logo. Designs became samples. It stopped being “one day” and started feeling like an actual launch.
This was our logo back then.
The original Descolado logo. Before the samples. Before the switch.
It’s strange looking at it now. That logo belonged to a version of the brand I thought I was going to build. I still respect it. You don’t have to stick with an idea forever for it to matter.
Our first pieces.
Then came the T-shirts. Different colours. Descolado on the chest. Seeing the samples together made the whole thing feel real in a way a sketch never could. This wasn’t just an idea in my head anymore. There were actual clothes in front of me.
The first Descolado T-shirt samples. A collection that almost became the beginning.
Then came the hoodies.
Another step closer. More pieces, more decisions, more reasons to tell myself: just launch it. Everything was ready. And when you’ve put that much into something, changing your mind is the last thing you want to do.
The Descolado hoodie samples. Ready for a direction I eventually left behind.
But something wasn’t clicking.
I liked what I’d made. I just couldn’t ignore the fact that the clothes I got most excited about weren’t new samples with my own name on them. They were the pieces I found. The ones I couldn’t stop looking at. The ones that made me want to build an entire fit around them.
A graphic that hits without trying. A faded colour you can’t fake. A jacket with a shape that makes everything underneath it look better. Sometimes it’s hard to explain why a piece works. You just know when it does.
That was what I kept coming back to. Not making more new clothes. Finding the stuff that already had something to say.
Right before launch, I had to be honest with myself. Was I excited about releasing Descolado, or was I just scared to let go of a plan I’d put so much into?
I didn’t want to drop a collection just because it was ready. I wanted to actually stand behind what I was doing.
So I changed direction.
Descolado became Descovintage. Not because the first idea meant nothing. Because it helped me work out what I really cared about.
Vintage hunting has that feeling I was missing. You don’t know exactly what you’re going to find. You can’t just order the same thing again in every size. You have to look, pay attention, and know what’s worth picking up.
And when you find the right piece, it doesn’t need a big explanation. You can already picture the fit.
That’s what Descovintage is about now. Rare pieces with soul. Streetwear with character. Clothes that bring something to your wardrobe instead of disappearing into it.
We don’t sell old clothes. We find pieces with character.
Not every piece is for everyone. That’s the point. I want you to find the one that feels like yours. The one you keep reaching for. The one your friends ask about.
I’m still building this. Still learning. Still chasing that feeling when a piece is too good to leave behind. But now I know what I’m building it around.
If you’ve found something here, shared the shop, or even just stayed long enough to read this: thank you. Seriously. You’re part of where this goes next.
Different name. Right direction. This is Descovintage.
